SEO Consultant / Search Engine Analysts

The Search Engine Analyst will be responsible for monitoring overall search engine performance for SEM campaigns. The Search Engine Analyst will work with the Search Engine Marketing Manager and Internet Marketing Team to implement search strategies and track the effectiveness of new and existing campaigns.

The successful candidate will have strong analytic capabilities with specific knowledge of online marketing analytics. The Search Engine Analyst is expected to produce daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting; assigned analytic projects; and produce independent analysis to help search engine strategy.

Essential Functions:

  1. Provide support and analysis for the Search Engine marketing team including:
  2. Monitor, track, and report on paid search metrics, including trend analysis.
  3. Provide support for search engine optimization recommendations.
  4. Interact with copywriter and web service manager to optimize copy and landing pages for Search Engine Marketing.
  5. Provide ad-hoc support for the Search Engine Marketing team including:
  6. Set up of new campaigns
  7. QA creative
  8. Assist in Keyword discovery and expansion
  9. Top keywords raking by category
  10. ROI by Campaign, Site, and Category
  11. Research and analyze competitor advertising links
  12. Back link strategy and implementation
  13. Directory submissions and revisions
  14. Internal link optimization
  15. SEO technical analysis and evaluation
  16. Website remediation
  17. Key phrase research
  18. META optimization
  19. Stay up to date on the latest industry developments

Job Qualifications:

  1. A degree in business, marketing, communications or related subjects.
  2. 1+ years previous online marketing experience. Ad agency or online direct marketing background a plus.
  3. Self motivated, detail oriented and able to prioritize daily work efficiently.
  4. Exceptional communication skills. Show superior judgment and professionalism when corresponding with partners and team members.
  5. Demonstrate a proactive work ethic when managing numerous competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Proven ability to accommodate evolving responsibilities and last minute changes.
  7. Able to analyze metric data and convey recommendations appropriately to supervisors.
  8. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  9. BA or Associates Degree may be required.
